Summer Employment Academies

Each Spring, E4 Youth holds an annual portfolio contest in order to offer summer employment to Central Texas area youth. The contest is free to all participants ages 13 - 20 and includes students working with E4 Youth's after school mentors to develop portfolios and others students at large working individually or with classroom teachers. Portfolios are submitted on the social learning portal Media Xperiments. Teachers and students are encouraged to join Media Xperimentsto stay up to date on contest details, tours and guest speakers.

Past Academies

Students participating in the 2012 It Could Be Digital Youth Academy unveiled a comprehensive media campaign to fight childhood obesity as part of the E4 Youth It Could Be U Pitch Party. Entitled ActivATE, the Students worked for 5 weeks with a slate of professional mentors and guest speakers from the fields of advertising, the health sciences, video games, technology, and business to create a thematic web site prototype, videos and music.
