Each year, E4 Youth offers field trips, guest speakers, career guidance, after school enrichment an annual portfolio reviews to help students qualify for summer internships in the Central Texas area. The contest is free to all participants ages 16 - 20 and includes students working with mentors and classroom teachers to develop portfolios. Portfolios are submitted at www.e4youth.com. Teachers and students are encouraged to join the site to stay up to date on contest details, tours and guest speakers.
Past Academies
In 2012, qualified students participated in a 5 week summer internship entitled the It Could Be U DIgital Youth Academy. During the academy, students researched and developed a comprehensive media campaign to fight childhood obesity as part of the E4 Youth It Could Be U Pitch Party. Entitled ActivATE, the Students worked with a slate of professional mentors and guest speakers from the fields of advertising, the health sciences, video games, technology, and business to create a thematic web site prototype, videos and music.
